As well as cows in India you will find a lot of goats. They hang about in small groups, often sparring. They seems to prefer to rest up high, off of the ground, and many of them were wearing shirts and jumpers. Having seen this goat in a shirt I asked our host why they were frequently dressed up. My guess was that they wanted to keep the goats warm during rather chilly winter nights and, essentially, I was right. It was to keep them warm, but not necessarily out of a sense of well-being for the goats, more to keep them as warm as possible so that they fattened up and were as big as possible when it came to the time to slaughter them.
