58/ 100 Night Puppy
Photo-Essay: Nighttime on Dasashwamedh Road
Varanasi never seemed to sleep and, as a result, neither did we. Our apartment had no need of good windows or double glazing so the sounds of everything outside came inside. We quickly gave up going to bed nice and early and went out on evening adventures to the market street very close to where we were staying. Every night was different, and the nights became one of the highlights of the day, if you know what I mean.
I am sorry that the puppy picture today is quite sad. It makes me deeply unhappy to look at it too but it is the harsh reality of the street dogs in India. They aren’t all well fed and sleeping in warm piles of other dogs.
